The Winter is Coming

Just like every winter, it comes in a blink of an eye, just as you start to get used to a beautiful summer and fall.

The real estate market will flip just like the seasons, sudden and abrupt.

It’s not because you can’t or don’t see it coming, but you are just caught up in living in the moment.

Your time or interest is likely not in building for the future or developing a version of you for the future.

The question is what are you doing besides working the business as usual? aka working in your business.

I bet you have one of these 4 thoughts right now…

1. I don’t have the time because the real estate is so hot that I can’t take a minute for anything else.

2. I don’t have the money because I’m just starting off or I’m not doing enough deals to think differently.

3. I don’t need to make changes because I’m already crushing it or this is just how it is. ie buying leads or working for someone that feeds you leads.

4. I don’t even know or care about what you’re talking about.

Oh wait!

If you are running a team or brokerage, you have a whole different set of challenges and opportunities that you are likely under leveraging or capitalizing.

But we will talk about that at another time.

When is a good time to future proof your business?

What would you do when the market dries out or becomes a market of short-sales and foreclosures?

Would the market know you soon enough to seek you out for advice in each market cycle?

On this Sunday I felt the need to disrupt your minds so you could have a different conversation with your mindset and take a real look at the…

market landscape,

industry peer attitudes, and

consumer signals.

And maybe, just maybe…

you’ll see something new or perhaps gems hidden in plain sight?

Oh, one last parting thought…

Don’t be satisfied or over-estimate your performance when the market is doing 80% of the heavy lifting.

From what I’ve been told, in the coming years, most loan originators and real estate agents will no longer be able to run their own operations and soon seeking another line of work or join the unemployment line.

Don’t be one of the statistics by thinking too small, working to survive the day, or not taking massive meaningful actions today.

See You On The Profitable Side!™
